The arrest stemmed from an incident that began on Sunday, Jan. 28 around 10 p.m., when authorities received a report of a domestic violence incident inside a vehicle on Interstate 684 in Northern Westchester, according to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.

The vehicle involved in the incident was eventually found in Lewisboro on Route 22. After stopping the car, an investigation determined that one of the occupants, 20-year-old Putnam County resident Guillian Escobar Baracaldo of Brewster, had hit and injured a victim, Hicks said.

Baracaldo was then arrested and charged with third-degree assault. She was arraigned in Somers Court before being released on her own recognizance. She will again appear in court on Monday night, Jan. 29.
